Privacy Policy

1. PERSONAL DATA

Personal data is information and assessments that can be linked to an identifiable individual. This may be name, address, phone number, e-mail address, IP address and purchase and behaviour history. You are not required to enter data such as name, address, zip code and city. If you enter data such as name, address, zip code and city, this information will not be shared with any 3rd persons.

2. PERSONAL DATA SECURITY

We use appropriate security measures to protect personal information under our control against unauthorized access, retrieval, use, disclosure, disclosure, copying, modification or disposal.

3. RESPONSIBILITY

The company's management, represented by the general manager is the responsible manager for the processing of personal data.

4. DATA USAGE

While downloading, users can freely use the app in those areas that do not require identification. We do not store any centralized data in this case and in case of uninstallation, we do not retain any information. When using services that require login, we only keep transactional data stored centrally. When creating an ad, media files and text data are stored centrally. All other data such as chatting, location storage and contact lists are only stored locally and are removed automatically upon uninstallation. Video streams user to user are not stored on our servers.

5. FACEBOOK AND INSTAGRAM DATA

You can connect a Facebook Page or an Instagram professional account to thevideoplayer so we can post the videos you create to that account and show you how those posts perform. Connecting is optional, and we only access the accounts you choose to connect, with the permissions you grant during Facebook or Instagram login.

Tokens we store. When you connect an account, Meta gives us access tokens. We store them encrypted on our servers and never send them to your browser or to anyone else. We keep:

• the ID and name of the connected Facebook Page or Instagram account, and the names and IDs of the Pages you granted us so you can choose which one we post to;
• an access token for each of those Pages, or for your Instagram account, and the permissions you granted;
• when the token or Meta's data access expires, so we can refresh it or email you to reconnect.

Posts we publish. We only publish content you created in thevideoplayer: the video and the caption shown with it. They are sent to Meta to publish on the connected account. We keep the ID, link, caption and status of each post we publish for you.

Metrics we read. For posts we published, we read their performance from Meta: views, reach, likes, comments, shares, saves and average watch time. We read the numbers regularly for the first 90 days after a post is published and then stop, keeping the last values. We store these numbers, a history of each reading, and the responses Meta returned, to show them in your dashboard. We do not read your other posts, your messages, or information about your followers or the people who interact with your posts.

How we use it. This data is used only to publish your videos and show you their results. We do not sell it, share it with third parties, or use it for advertising.

Retention. Access tokens are kept while the account is connected and are deleted straight away when you disconnect it. The account name and the records and metrics of past posts are kept so your history stays in your dashboard, until you ask us to delete them or delete your thevideoplayer account.

How to delete. Disconnect the account in your dashboard under Profile → Social accounts, remove thevideoplayer from your Facebook or Instagram settings, and email [email protected] to have the remaining data deleted. Step-by-step instructions are on our Data Deletion Instructions page.

6. DELETING PERSONAL DATA AND ACCOUNTS

If the user wishes to delete a verified account, this has to be requested by [email protected]. All data including media files will then be deleted except for the transaction connected with payment against a credit card. This is reasoned by the Act on the storing of accounting documents. You are entitled to be able to delete all our information about you without notice, as long as we are not required to store it. You can contact us regarding this matter and cancel your customer relationship by email to thevideoplayer.
